Commonwealth Bank acquirer agreement with China UnionPay
Commonwealth Bank of Australia announced an acquirer agreement with China UnionPay. This will allow China UnionPay cardholders to use their cards at CBA ATMs and retailers linked to CBA. China Unionpay has 3.1bn cards in circulation and CBA has 170,000 terminals within Australia. The agreement will take 2 years to fully implement.
